Launch of Grasys' nitrogen station for the world's largest Nur 1 solar power plant in Morocco

2 June 2016

On June 1, the specialists of Grasys commissioned a containerized nitrogen station installed at the world's largest Nur 1 solar power plant in Morocco.

The plant was put into production to ensure supply of 99.8% nitrogen at 520 cubic meters per hour to meet the process requirements of the power plant.

One should recall that February 4 saw the formal opening and commissioning of the world's largest Nur 1 solar power plant in Morocco («nur», from Arabic, means «light»). The 160MW plant is located near the city of Uarzazat in the south-east of the country. Morocco plans to produce up to 42 % of its energy from renewable sources – sun, wind and water – by 2020. And by 2030, the Kingdom envisages production of 52 % of renewable energy.
