The 1000th project completed by the RPC “Grasys” – a nitrogen membrane station supplied for the PJSC “Gazprom”!

The Research and Production Company «Grasys» has completed its 1000^th project — engineering and supply of a nitrogen station for the PJSC «Gazprom».

The nitrogen membrane station will be operated at the Baltic coast in the Kingisepp District near Ust-Luga at the compressor station «Slavyanskaya» of the gas pipeline «The North-West Region UGSS, Gryazevets — CS Slavyanskaya section», which is an inland part of the gas main «Nord Stream — 2».

The nitrogen station at the CS «Slavyanskaya» produces 1000 m³ of nitrogen per hour with 95–98% purity grade and 8–10 atm outlet pressure. The product nitrogen is employed in purging of pipelines and utility systems of the CS in course of routine maintenance and repairs. The core process equipment of the station, associated automation systems and instrumentation and control appliances are of domestic manufacture as required by the PJSC «Gazprom».

The RPC «Grasys» engineers and manufactures membrane nitrogen plants and stations since the year 2002 and is the first Russian company, which applied the membrane gas separation technology in the Russian market. Back in 2003 the first nitrogen plant from Grasys was brought in operation at the EFCO-Sloboda facility, and in 2004 the Company supplied the first nitrogen station to Arcticgaz. These projects were preceded by extensive studies and efforts on promotion of membrane air separation technology in the Russian market. Professional staff members of the Company explicated its operation principle to the Customers, as well as its advantages compared to cryogenic and adsorption technologies, which were conventionally used at that time. Ultimately, the membrane gas technology became the industrial standard, and the Company has gained the lead in the membrane gas separation market. As of today, the Company has supplied about 500 membrane nitrogen plants and stations, which have worked up the domestic market due to their efficiency, reliability and quality.

The gained experience enabled the RPC «Grasys» to develop its competencies: to become not only the leading developer and manufacturer of gas separation and compression equipment but a successful ЕРС contractor as well. The Company implements EPC projects of any complexity in different industries: chemical and petrochemical, mechanical engineering, coal mining, metal industry and others.
