Serial adsorption oxygen plants AKS
GRASYS serial oxygen plants offered in the AKS model range are designated for 90–95% gaseous oxygen production from atmospheric air at the rate of 0.5 to 130 nm³/hr.
Where the customer requires cylinder oxygen GRASYS can offer serial adsorption oxygen plants for cylinders filling based on the highly recognized AKS plants.
The AKS plants operating principle is based on the ability of adsorbing materials to preferentially adsorb nitrogen and impurity gases molecules contained in atmospheric air, while letting oxygen molecules freely pass through. All adsorbents used in oxygen generators are certified and inspected in Russia, which ensures the system operating reliability and high quality of end product.
The undoubted advantage of AKS serial oxygen plants based on pressure swing adsorption technology is the low cost of oxygen production where strict requirements are not applied to the product oxygen purity.
Structurally, AKS adsorption oxygen plants made by GRASYS consist of two adsorbers, the compressor unit, air treatment unit, valve system and the plant control system. The adsorber is made as a column filled with specially selected layers of adsorbent — granular substances preferentially adsorbing easily adsorbable gas mixture components.
The range of AKS oxygen plants application is extensive, including the autogenous oxygen production (apart from automated metals cutting). Oxygen generators are also used in silicate, pulp-and-paper, food and pharmaceutical industries, in fish farming, effluents treatment, ozone plants feeding, solid wastes incineration and in medicine.
