Grasys Nitrogen Adsorption Unit Has Been Put into Operation at the Beer Brewing Plant

Nitrogen unit Grasys based on a serial nitrogen adsorption generator featuring 2 m³/h capacity, 99,999% nitrogen purity and 0,5 MPa pressure has been put into operation at the beer brewing plant by specialists of R&P Co. Grasys. The recovered gas is used in beverage storage and bottling processes.

When stored, the ingredients for making beer with due time are exposed to decay process while interacting with moist air. Using inert nitrogen prevents aerobic bacteria from reproducing.

To prevent oxidation and damage to the finished product quality, containers are filled with nitrogen, the so-called nitrogen blanket (nitrogen push-pull system) is generated when during filling process gas is supplied together with product to beverage containers to increase the shelf life of the finished brewage.

Furthermore, nitrogen purging of process equipment is used during beer production. This process removes oxygen thus ensuring decrease in microorganisms reproduction.
