In order to supply hospitals with medical oxygen in 2021, as many as eight oxygen plants and concentrators were additionally purchased in Komi. Installation of the new plants will provide patients with the appropriate treatment not only in case of the COVID, but also for other diseases. Vladimir Uyba, Head of the Republic, spoke about this in his report to the Komi State Council at the end of June this year.
“Suppose we plunge into times recently gone by and recall the issues associated with the supply of oxygen during the frenzy of pandemic throughout the country, let alone the world, I would like to say that the Republic of Komi is looking ahead in the long term while drawing the right conclusions,” said Albert Komakhidze.
