«Oil. Gas. Petrochemistry-2009» (Kazan)
The 16th international exhibition «Oil. Gas. Petrochemistry-2009» will take place on September 9–11 in Kazan under the auspices of President and the Government of the Tatarstan Republic, the Tatarstan Ministry of Ecology and Mineral Resources, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Kazan Town Council, with the support and participation of OJSC Tatneft.
As part of the event, the IV international conference «NEFTEGAZSTANDARD-2009» («Practical Application of Technical Regulations in the Russian Oil and Gas Complex») will be held. Participants: members of the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers OGP, world leading experts in the field of standardization representing the management of the UN European Economic Commission, representatives of federal and regional authorities, major international and Russian oil and gas companies, industry associations and others.
In parallel with the exhibition, the following events will take place:
- the international scientific and practical conference «Innovative Technologies in Geology and Hydrocarbons Development»;
- the scientific and technical conference «Prospects of Building Underground Gas Storage Facilities in the Republic of Tatarstan»;
- the international scientific and practical conference «Kazan Geological School and its Role in the Development of the Geological Science in Russia».
The international exhibition «Oil. Gas. Petrochemistry» ranks among the top three regional oil and gas exhibitions in Russia (has the distinction mark of the Russian Union of Fairs and Exhibitions). The exhibition is annually attended by more than 220 companies, its occupied exhibition area exceeds 2600 sq. m. Geography of participants: 59 cities in the Russian Federation and in 11 foreign companies (Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, Sweden).
Last year, the exhibition was visited by more than 8000 people. According to a social audit, 95% of visitors are specialists representing the petroleum & petrochemical industry, instrument engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics and other industries. The Tumen region oil and gas complex makes the major contribution to the energy resources production and their uninterrupted domestic and export supply. The region is responsible for production of 67% of oil and 91% of natural gas out of the overall natural output. The important line of the new stage development is the establishment of raw hydrocarbons deep conversion branches: oil products production, chemical and petrochemical production. The basis of the regional Government investment policy is the maximum possible involvement of financial resources of whatever source in the subsurface resources management.

The exhibition attracts more than 200 exponents every year. In 2008, it was attended by over 5,000 specialists from enterprises engaged in the featured and adjacent industries in Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, USA etc.
The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive business program and information support and annually attracts more that 200 participants. In 2008, products of the exhibition exponents were seen by 6.5 thousand executives and experts of industry specific enterprises from 42 Russian and foreign cities.
