Steam reforming (catalytic conversion of light hydrocarbons in the presence of water vapour) is an efficient and most common method of producing hydrogen-rich synthesis gas. Grasys hydrogen generation units by steam methane reforming produce up to 130,000 m3/hour of hydrogen with a purity of up to 99.999% (after adsorption purification).

The hydrogen gas produced is used for processes in the refining industry (hydrocracking units), petroleum and gas chemistry, iron and steel industry (light annealing), and other sectors.
