Cryogenic systems produce nitrogen with a purity of up to 99.9999%, oxygen with a purity of up to 99.95%, and argon with a purity of up to 99.9999%.

Another advantage of cryogenic plants for generation of nitrogen, oxygen, and argon is the ability to produce gases in two states: gaseous and liquid. With the alternative technologies (membrane and adsorption), only gaseous air separation products can be obtained.
