Membrane treatment of natural gas and associated petroleum gas is used both to separate the acid gases (CO2 and H2S) present in them to meet pipeline transport requirements and to remove methane during tertiary oil recovery for subsequent injection of carbon dioxide into the formation.

Natural gas and associated petroleum gas often contain chemically aggressive or easily condensable components that significantly affect the membrane performance and the degree of associated petroleum gas utilisation.

With its extensive experience in membrane technology for various applications and a good understanding of the benefits of membrane technology, R&P Co. The principle of membrane separation of a gas mixture is based on the different penetration rates of its components through a polymeric membrane due to the differential partial pressures of the gas on either side of the membrane.
