In order to cover the needs for relatively small, high-quality and inexpensive nitrogen generators the Research and Production Company Grasys offers the serially produced adsorption nitrogen generators NITROPOWER based on the in-depth analysis of domestic and foreign low-capacity nitrogen generators. The adsorption generators are provided in two options NITROPOWER and NITROPOWER PLUS with various configurations and a set of additional options. This enables the Customer to pay solely for what is needed with a guarantee of invariably superior quality.

Low-capacity adsorption nitrogen plants are widely used to solve various tasks. The plants find use in chemical, petrochemical, food industries, in pharmaceutics, microelectronics etc.

NITROPOWER nitrogen generator operating principle

NITROPOWER nitrogen generators utilize the PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) principle and incorporate steel adsorbers as the generator main part. The adsorbers are filled with a special adsorbent — carbon molecular sieves. Their characteristic feature is a significantly reduced pore diameter. Pretreated and dried compressed air is supplied into adsorbers and flows upward passing through the layer of molecular sieves. The molecular sieves are used to preferentially retain molecules of oxygen and other gases while letting through nitrogen molecules.

Before molecular sieves become oxygen-enriched, the NITROPOWER generator automatically switches the adsorbers operation mode. Now, the active adsorber switches over to the regeneration process and the air separation process starts in the other adsorber. The adsorbers switch cyclically ensuring continuous nitrogen production.

Control system for NITROPOWER generators

The control system with a built-in gas analyzer board and a flow meter allows integration into the upper level control system (company’s APCS) for remote control and monitoring of all process parameters.

Depending on the options and models selected the following parameters can be monitored:
  • air temperature at the generator input;
  • air pressure at the generator input;
  • product gas pressure at the generator output;
  • oxygen concentration in the product gas at the generator output;
  • pressure in the generator adsorbers;
  • product gas flowrate at the nitrogen generator output (optional).
