Grasys designs nitrogen and air compressor stations for South Stream

The research and production company Grasys is involved in design of the nitrogen and air compressor stations for a foreign client as part of the South Stream project. This is a key project for both Russia and Europe aimed at reinforcement of its energy integrity. The project was brought on-stream in 2013 with the construction of the new gas pipeline system fitted out in accordance with the latest environmental and technological requirements.

The South Stream gas pipeline will be laid across the Black Sea, Southern and Central Europe countries. The design specialists in Grasys took into account the complexity of equipment operation and working activities under various climatic conditions. The up-to-date solutions employed by RPC Grasys provide substantial advantages for project implementation within a broad temperature range of −50 °С to +40 °С. Due to the advanced intelligent control system Grasys Intelligent Control-7 the stations are designed to be highly self-contained allowing the maximum efficiency during operation.
