By raising oxygen concentration in glass-melting furnaces, manufacturers are able to increase the flame temperature and heat-transfer rate.

The injection of oxygen-rich air has long been efficiently used in many flame furnaces where the basic heat exchange process is baсked by radiation: to name just a few, at the medical and laboratory glass manufacturing facilities or when making light bulbs.

When making glass products, oxygen is supplied to gas burners that are used for the product off-spec part cutting, edge flashing off and surface fire polishing to melt microdefects.

Such application is implemented using oxygen units based on adsorption and cryogenic technology. R&P Co. Grasys is engaged in developing and manufacturing high-performance adsorption oxygen units and plants to find application in various industries.
